Dave Gordon is a new media and tech artist working with sculpture, digital photography, animation, and electronically mediated interactivity separately and in combination. His work is rooted in notions of collage and assemblage of found objects and concerns itself with technological issues past and present.
Dave has shown his work in galleries regionally and nationally. His animations have won awards internationally. He is the creator and curator of the Eadweard Muybridge Online Archive developed in partnership with the Boston Public Library. (www.muybridge.org.) He has taught digital imaging and new media courses in and around Boston and Florida’s Gulf Coast. His career has included artist-in-residencies with the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation and The Olympian Foundation.
Dave completed his undergraduate work at Oberlin College and received his graduate degree from the Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP) at the Tisch School of the Arts New York University.
